The Romanian Athenaeum is one of Europe’s most outstanding buildings, as acknowledged when it was awarded the European Heritage Label in 2024 and is under historical monument protection by Romanian law.
The Romanian Athenaeum’s status as a national heritage monument, given its national importance and iconic architecture designed by French architect Albert Galleron, imposes, unfortunately, certain limitations concerning alterations to make it more accessible.
The George Enescu Philharmonic provides the use of a lift for persons with reduced mobility to enable them to reach seats in the Grand Auditorium. So that they may reach their seats comfortably and without delay, it is recommended that persons with reduced mobility arrive at least thirty minutes before the beginning of concerts.
All guests must be able to leave the concert hall independently or with the help of their accompanying person in the event of danger.
Guests with disabilities benefit from free or reduced tickets under Philharmonic Regulations
